She has 5 children from first marriage to Ed Ruehl (4 sons, 1 daughter). She is the mother of Roxy DiCamillo.

As a young woman, Ruehl had given birth to a son and reluctantly placed him for adoption because she didn’t have “the emotional development or the economic capability” to raise him.

Several years later, the two reunited. Through trial and error and therapy, they forged a close relationship. He is the godfather to her 7-year-old adopted son, Javier.
