Brooke Adams, sister of actress Lynne Adams, was well-received in her performance in “Days of Heaven,” alongside Richard Gere and Sam Shepard.

Adams turned down an offer to star as one of the original Charlie’s Angels. She adopted her daughter Josie in 1989. She and husband, Tony Shalhoub, had their daughter Sophie in 1993.
